Announcements – Monday, April 22

• Students, food and drinks are not allowed in the classrooms.

• Students, there are no drop-offs for food, money, lunches, clothes, backpacks, etc. Do not ask anyone to drop off anything to you. Use your personal responsibility to come to school prepared to learn.

• Cell phones, headphones, and other electronic devices are not allowed to be visible in the classroom. Devices should be turned off and stored away in backpacks or purses during the class period. If they are not, devices can be confiscated for 3 days. During class change, you should only have 1 headphone or earbud in your ear.

• Students are not permitted to go to the vending machines during class time for any reason.

• Students, please be advised; no hoodies are to be worn for the rest of the school year.

• Breakfast and lunch in the Gator Cafe is free to all Captain Shreve students this school year. Stop in!

• Are you struggling with your math class? Do you need some help with your math homework? The Math Club is here for you. Come to room A112 for peer tutoring on Tuesday mornings from 7:45 to 8:15. Bring your math work with you and get help from some of Captain Shreve's best math students. Ask your Math teacher for more details.

• Students, check the Shreveport Times Athlete of the Week site and vote for Captain Shreve athletes. Vote as many times as you can. This week’s nominee is senior baseball player Aron Gillum.

• Tune in to the Film Prize Junior Virtual Festival TODAY. This year's 96 short films will be viewable at FILMPRIZEJR.com/festival. Visitors to the website will be able to watch and vote for their favorite films as they would the in-person festival. For virtual audience choice, viewers only need to watch three middle or high school films to vote. The winner will be announced on Tuesday, April 23rd.

• If you are 18 years old (or will be 18 by November) and have not registered to vote, you can do so during your lunch period. Stop by the JROTC table during your lunch period and fill out a registration form. The table will be located in the cafeteria foyer during both lunch shifts. You can also see your English IV teacher; they also have registration forms.
