Captain Shreve High School Library & Maker Space
There’s so much more to your library!
Library Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:45 am – 4:15 pm
The Captain Shreve Library supports the mission of the school by being active partners with the administration, faculty, students, and community.
Our Philosophy: At Captain Shreve, we like to think of the library as the heart of the school. We have a welcoming, collaborative space and diverse collection of over 12,000 books, but our impact goes beyond the walls of the main library.
We foster a school-wide culture of reading and model best practices and instructional leadership to support professional growth for staff.
In preparing students for life after high school, we know that digital literacy is paramount. We integrate content area standards with state and national library guidelines, including the AASL Shared Foundations, to promote inquiry and literacy and to prepare students for college, career, and community readiness. Our goals and objectives are aligned with this vision.
