A Caddo Parish business leader of tomorrow already has some major bragging rights to her credit.
Ashton Pouncy, 17, a senior at Captain Shreve High School in Shreveport, has been alerted that she is one of only nine semifinalists in the state in the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation.
Pouncy, who is also Captain Shreve’s High School Student of the Year, is now officially a one percenter.
Roughly 133,000 students from across the U.S. applied for the Coca-Cola scholarship program. Of those, only 1,227 were selected to compete.
