Captain Shreve High School opened its doors in 1967 and is currently in its fifty-seventh year. Shreve has a history of excellence and is home to high-performing, multi-talented students and staff. Shreve is a neighborhood school with an Engineering & Liberal Arts Magnet component. For the sixth year, Shreve students have the opportunity to participate in the AP Capstone program. We offer 24 LHSAA sanctioned sports and over 40 extracurricular clubs and organizations for our 1800+ students to find their niche and grow their leadership skills. Captain Shreve has a strong PTSA, Alumni Association, and community stakeholders who support the school and work together to fulfill our mission of promoting academic achievement and leadership development. The camaraderie that our Shreve family enjoys is unique and it is an important part of our past and future success. Enrollment is rising and The Swamp is a great place to be.
