The dates for LEAP testing for grades 3-8 are April 17-19 and April 22-23. We need everyone here each day of testing. The students and teachers have worked diligently, and we believe that everyone’s hard work will once again result in Herndon having a “School Performance Score” of an A. We also believe that we will again be named a Louisiana Top Gains School, a Caddo Gains School, and an Opportunity Honoree. We know that none of this would be possible without your support, and I could never say thank you enough.

Thursday, March 28, is a street clothes day for students. Please see the guidelines on page 6 of the student agenda or on the website under documents and with the title “DRESS CODE FOR STREET CLOTHES DAY.” All clothing that is designed to go under clothes must be worn that way. Leggings cannot be worn by themselves, whether they are athletic or not. All leggings must be covered with appropriate clothing that is no more than four inches above the knees. This is for all grades.

Thank you Brandon Garner with Caddo Parish Fire for coming to our middle school PE classes and training students on hands-only CPR. Students also learned how to use an AED, the location of our AED on campus, as well as the difference between heart attack and cardiac arrest.
