The Captain Shreve Library is promoting reading this year with a school-wide READING CHALLENGE!

Last year, our students and faculty read a combined 79,362,440 words!
Our goal this year is to read 100,000,000 words! That's right!!!
100 MILLION WORD CHALLENGE!
As of September we've read 19,812,906 words, so that's almost 20% of our goal, Gators!!!

Stop by our Summer Book Break event June 11 from 12 PM - 2 PM in the CSHS Library. Bring a book you're currently reading and enjoy pizza, popsicles, and drawings for spirit gear, event tickets, gift cards, free books and tons of other great prizes! Your BOOK is your TICKET into the event. Book Break events are open to all students, staff, and families and they're a great way to break up summer boredom, reconnect with friends, and meet new folks!

Tyhlar Holliway ('23) will be visiting on March 3 to promote and discuss her new book "Navigating the Maze: The High Schooler's Roadmap to College Readiness." A special event will be held @ 6 PM in the library. It is open to all parents, students, and community members.

Captain Shreve students are at Youree Drive Middle School today to talk to YDMS students about the amazing opportunities available to them at Shreve! At Shreve, You Can Have It ALL!!!

CONGRATULATIONS to Payton Robbins, winner of the STEAM Ornament Challenge hosted by the Captain Shreve Library! Payton hand-crafted and painted a clay Gator adorned with a Santa Hat. His originality and creativity set his work apart from the other outstanding entries.

The Captain Shreve Student Council collect over 100 toys for children in need and delivered them today to the "Stuff the Bus" community toy drive sponsored by Caddo Schools and Sportran.

Captain Shreve achieved an increase of 4.3 on our school performance score, which is the highest increase in school history.

Congratulations to Hannah Clarke for being named our Carson Scholarship nominee! She was selected based on her outstanding academic achievements, service, and essay by the Carson Scholarship committee. She will compete at the national level for a $1,000 scholarship.
